Starting work

Before you start your job, we will give you all the necessary information about your new employer – your responsibilities, the rules and regulations and the customs. If required, we can arrange proper working attire. We will also provide your new supervisor with the necessary information. If you have any questions, just ask.

Your timesheet at the end of the week

At the end of the week, you will need to fill in your timesheet, specifying the hours that you have worked and any other relevant information. Your supervisor will sign this timesheet for approval. Take care to fill in this timesheet with the correct number of hours worked. You can hand in your timesheet at one of our offices or put it in the post. You may also send it by fax. Your salary will be paid the week immediately after you hand in your timesheet. So don’t forget to send it in on time!

Once we’ve agreed on the job, a ‘contract of employment’, setting out all rights and obligations, will be drawn up and signed by both parties. We will confirm all the agreements made in black and white. After we have helped you to fill in the necessary forms, you are ready to start work.

 

Salary specifications

Your salary will depend on your age, experience and the type of work you do. You are also entitled to holiday pay and to receive benefits in the event of sickness, invalidity, unemployment, etc. Before you start your work, we will be glad to work out your salary for you. Your weekly pay-slip will specify your gross earnings, all deductions, your net earnings and the contributions set in reserve for you. Collective Agreement for Temporary Employees

Wiertz Personeelsdiensten is affiliated with the ABU, the Dutch association of temporary employment agencies, and as such works in accordance with the guidelines of the collective agreement. This provides you with a guarantee that everything has been properly arranged. When you start work, you will follow a so-called 3-phase system. In the first phase, the contract of employment can be terminated unconditionally at the end of the contract. After 78 weeks’ work you can be taken on by Wiertz Professionals, which means you will have a fixed or temporary contract with Wiertz HR Services. At each subsequent phase, your conditions of work will likewise improve. For example, you will be entitled to a pension and your own training budget.

Oh, and don’t forget …

Please notify Wiertz Personeelsdiensten if you are sick (report before 9 a.m.), whether you have any holiday plans, whether you intend to stop work, whether there are any problems at work and whether there are any changes in your personal circumstances.
