For our logistic client in Heijen we are searching for a warehouse support specialit. As a Warehouse Support Specialist in Heijen you are responsible for providing on-the-floor support to both the employees and the Supervisor in the healthcare department of the warehouse. When issues or challenges involving the deliveries and orders of medical supplies arise, you investigate what caused the problem and try to come up with a structural solution. While doing so, you communicate with different stakeholders of the company, in order to keep them informed and gather useful information.

Whenever daily issues within the logistics of the warehouse arise, you are approached by the Operations department. In order to solve the issues the department informs you about, you gather and analyse data: you assess stock levels, inventories and resources, and communicate with different departments within the company. In doing so, you identify the problem, and try to come up with a suitable solution. In addition, you try to find ways to prevent the same issue from happening in the future.

During the day, you are mostly active on the warehouse floor. You mainly communicate with customers and the Operations department, during physical meetings and via email. Other departments you consult with during the day are Quality and Service Delivery. In order to keep the different stakeholders informed and up to date, you prepare and send them standard reports on important aspects of the production and delivery process.

As you work with medical supplies, you contribute significantly to the healthcare system. This also means that sometimes your daily tasks and workload can be a matter of urgency: some tasks have to be fulfilled under strict deadlines.

You can work as a Warehouse Support Specialist in different teams, for example Inbound, Outbound and Quality and Inventory. Every team consists of a Supervisor, Assistant Supervisor, Line Leads and other colleagues like Troubleshooters and Warehouse Employees.

Functie eisen

  • Vocational (mbo) / Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum 1 year experience with logistics
  • Experience with Excel
  • Analytical thinking skills
  • Excellent command of the English language
  • Problem solving, accurate and good communicator
